Electrical Appliances Fire Safety

For an electrical home appliance, the top priority is safety. Electrical appliances, plug and cable problems can be life-threatening at times. Find out what to check for to ensure the safety and happy life of the family.

Here we are to present some Safety Precautions

1.  Routinely check your electrical appliances and wiring.
2.  Frayed wires can cause fires. Replace all worn, old or damaged appliance cords immediately by professionals.
3.  Immediately shut off, then professionally replace, light switches that are hot to the touch and lights that flicker.

7.  Keep clothes, curtains, and other potentially combustible items at least three feet from all heaters.
8.  If an appliance has a three-prong plug, use it only in a three-slot outlet. Never force it to fit into a two-slot outlet or extension cord.
9.  Don't allow children to play with or around electrical appliances.
10.  Use safety closures to "child-proof" electrical outlets.
