Making Your Own Baby Food

 

Fruits and vegetables is an important part of a healthy diet, and smooth and fairly thin fruit & vegetable purees would be among the first baby foods your baby will try.

 

Fortunately, homemade fruit and vegetable purees are a simple and budget-friendly choice. You can make it with any fruit or vegetable that you can think of.

 

The first thing you will need is something to puree the food---a regular blender. What’s more, a food steamer is necessary at times. Most fruits and vegetables need cooking prior to blending. The best way to cook them is via steaming. Unlike boiling, steaming would help remain nutrients in the fruits and vegetables to a great extent. You will need to cook something hard until very tender to create a smooth puree. Then, add water into the puree to help thin it out, and mix them well to achieve the desired texture and consistency. Great nutritious meal is done! Serve warm!
